A Guide to Different Types of Heels: Styles and Examples

At Harlem Shoes, every shoe is crafted with both performance and personality in mind. One key element that defines the comfort and style of our shoes is the heel and we offer a diverse selection for all kinds of dances.

Each model has specific heel options available in its product selector. Our heels are either leather-covered or wooden, but even our covered heels have a solid wooden core inside. We never use plastic, ensuring each pair feels stable and natural underfoot.
Let’s walk you through the different types:

LOWEST HEELS

Perfect for beginner dancers, minimalist lovers, and anyone who wants maximum stability and comfort. These heels provide a grounded, secure feel, ideal for long social nights or tricky footwork.

Zero Drop Heel (0 cm)

Only available in barefoot models, this completely flat heel gives you a natural, grounded connection. It allows your body to move freely and stay aligned, especially great for those with foot sensitivity or pain.

Please note: Heel height may vary slightly (a few millimeters) depending on your shoe size. For smaller sizes, the heel might appear slightly lower due to proportional scaling, but rest assured, the design and comfort remain consistent.
